14th Annual Lake Hills Fishing Derby

The following is from Lake Hills Ecology Chairman Jeff Henchcliffe:

As a kid growing up in Lake Hills, I fished more days than not. Being out in nature, and the challenge and rewards of catching fish were my inspiration. Years later, with 13 Lake Hills Fishing Derbies in the history books, an equally powerful inspiration has become the excitement and memories sparked in Lake Hills kids when a colorful sunny takes their worm, or when a surprise eel emerges from the depths to tighten a line, or when a proud mom or dad snaps a photo of their even prouder child holding her first fish.

We are truly blessed living in Lake Hills. The Fishing Derby gets our kids outside, encouraging appreciation and stewardship of the environment. The derby brings our community together and is a fun start to Father’s Day weekend.
